Rallying for Sanity the French Way
Instead of grabbing our place at the very front of the Rally to Restore Sanity, what are MTM and I now doing? Rushing to DuPont Circle, the opposite direction for those unfamiliar with DC.
We’re going to Le Pain Quotidien to assemble a French picnic. Because sane people only picnic with French food.
Concerned that we will be three frigid hours with only peanuts for company, our stomachs got the better of us.
MTM and I are destined to be two geriatric fat people.

Get some really good goat cheese, some fruit and a baguette! You’ll be well stoked. Oh, and a thermos of French roast coffee. (Which is what’s on my desk with me now.)
Check the cheese but brie, check the fruit, and check the baguette. We have “grape juice” instead of coffee.
As a former Washingtonian, I believe the best Tapas restaurant in the USA is on fifteenth street not far from the treasury building.
I wish I had read this comment sooner, Stan. My phone didn’t work at all during the rally.
We love tapas.
