One Thousand A Grand Millennia
When I started this blogging journey, I never dreamed I’d find myself sitting in New Orleans, one thousand posts later, working on an actual novel. Sitting in a place I saw in my dreams. A character whispered the details to me. And, I wrote them.
In real life, the place is exactly the same. It’s a sign. That this book will make me.
Or, that I am losing my mind.
As long as you’re along for the ride, Dear Reader, I will take it either way.
Thanks for reading bits of these thousand posts. For sharing them. For commenting.
For being there.

Congratulations on your 1,000! I must confess, I didn’t discover your blog until late last year, but now I’m hooked and I’m glad I did.
Here’s to the next milestone!
Thank you, Heather. I’m glad you found me, because it helped me find your blog.
Thank you, that’s so kind!
Glad to be able to watch and partcipate in your journey. You will get thee I am sure.
I am enjoying your journey, also. I have learned so much about your part of the world since I met you here.
*There not thee – tee hee
I liked that one.
I got goose bumps when I read this post. Way to go Andra! I can’t wait to one day soon hold your book in my hands.
I can’t wait for you to hold it, either, Debbie.
What a journey my friend. Here’s to the writer you have always been, the writer you are now and the writer you are becoming. Thanks for being brave enough to share the ride.
Looking forward to seeing you tomorrow.
Andra, it’s a week for milestones! Congratulations on yours too!
And as for your sign… well, you know how the Universe works in mysterious ways – it’s no coincidence!
You’re writing… I’m starting to write… we both have a milestone in the same week… things like that don’t happen very often!
Glad to be able to share your journey with you!
Did you hit your milestone yet, Tom? I have been checking, but I haven’t seen.
I’m glad you to know someone else who believes in signs.
I did! Between midnight and 6am UK time on 3rd October. I didn’t notice it myself actually, as I was sleeping at the time! Which is usual for me…
So, I’m back to normal now… and the signs? Yes, I believe…!
Congratulations, Tom!! That’s a great accomplishment.
It’s my pleasure Andra!
Jim, reading your wacky characters is a pleasure. I never go a day without laughing.
Sigh… I know exactly where you are sitting. You are in my spot!
But if it has to be anybody other than me sitting there, I am glad it is you. Drink one for me, OK?
We split one. The drinks are mighty strong here.
Writers are not wimps… Hemingway just rolled over!
He had more bulk to carry the booze than I do. I’m serious. New Orleans drinks are high-octane. Too much for me.
Now you know one of the reasons I love that city!
I’m so happy I found your blog . . .
I’m happy you did, too.
Here’s to the next 1000 and a book or two! Congrats!
At least two. Thank you, Howard.
I’m enjoying the ride.
I don’t think I could do it without you, Lori. You’ve been part of it for so long now.
You’re an inspiration! Congrats!
Ha. That is great to hear. Your comment today on FB inspired me.
Yikes! Is that a ghost, or did someone just leave the door open? ‘Harry Potter’ was written in a coffee house… look where Andra is writing hers!
Of course I’m along for the ride. And I can’t wait to read it!
Ted, there is great significance in this photo, and I am determined for you to know what it is. Someday.
Looking forward to it!
Yes! You are a wonderful writer. Inventive, creative, compelling and just the right amount of askew to make your view of the world as portrayed in your winning fresh and interesting.
That is very nice of you to say, Cheryl. Thank you.
How exciting! And what a terrific place to be sitting and writing your 1000th post! The photo is STELLAR too. Congrats!
I do really like the picture.
Thank you.
Have not been with you for the 1,000, but congratulations and I’m glad to have joined you one month and one week ago.
I am not yet at 100 posts.
You’ll get there, Pat. It happens really fast – or that’s the way it feels.
Yes, discovered 100 crept up without me knowing!
Hope it goes well. I have every reason to believe that it will.
I will take the encouragement of people like you, Roger, rather than the odds.
Congrats on getting to a thousand posts, and the amazing journey you are own. I’m glad that I am along for the ride.
Meeting people like you is one of the best things about this journey, Lisa.
Thanks for writing them, Andra. The day simply wouldn’t be the same without you. How strange that it looks the same.
That it looks the same isn’t the only coincidence with this one, Kate. I just recounted all of them to Alice in the car on the way to Natchez.
My day would not be the same without you, either.
Only a thousand?
I haven’t missed as much as I’d thought!
Keep writing them, please. I save yours and Kate’s up like sweets and have them on the weekend!
A thousand posts? That’s a huge milestone, particularly when you are working on larger pieces of work beyond what you share in your daily posts. Your dedication to the art of writing, the discipline and focus is evidence of your calling!
So proud of all that you have achieved
x
Congratulations! It’s fun to come along on the journey with you.
