Lou Mello’s All Rotary All the Time Party

Lou Mello, incoming Rotary 7770 District Governor on your left and Ed Duryea, current Rotary 7770 District Governor on your right. The middle needs no explanation.
Lou Mello has slaved and toiled and suffered. For years and years and years. And decades and decades and decades. I think he started working before I was born.
And, today is his last day. He’s retiring. OOCL gave him an iPad. A bigger iThingy for him to send me Rotary missives in the middle of the freaking night.
Thanks, OOCL.
We’re giving him a party. An All Rotary All The Time Party to celebrate how much harder he’s going to be working, now that he’s retired.
Please come and fete Lou, either in person or online. We will have a Google+ hangout set up, and we will have MTM-crafted paella for those who come in person.
What: Lou Mello’s All Rotary All The Time Retirement Party
When: Friday, January 11, 2013 at 7:00pm
Where: Our house (message me if you need directions)
What you can bring: Yourself. Your date. Your hungry tummy. Your voyeuristic tendencies. Many felicitations for Lou.
Please RSVP in a comment on this post, or send me a message to let me know you will be there. If you have already let me know your plans, you do not need to reply again, unless you want everyone to know you will be there.
Did I mention we’re having homemade paella?
HAPPY RETIREMENT, LOU!!!!

I will have to Google my congratulations… I am assuming this is 7pm Eastern Time and not Pacific Time? You know, you could skip the middle of the night messages, if you did not sleep with your laptop. You can mail my share of the paella, thank you Andra.
p.s. I’ll take the President in the middle…
A lovely last day it shall be today, just another 8:30 to 5 stint and then “All Rotary All the Time”. Mixed in with a few afternoon “power naps” smirk, smirk.
Ted, we all prefer the Pres in the middle as well. sorta reminds me of the elf on a shelf with her constant travel.
“Power naps”. I like the way you think, Lou Mello.
Retirement? What manner of thing is this? You do not hear of people entering into retirement much these days. Congratulations Lou! Katy and I will try to be at the party if we can make it.
I have no idea what MTM is cooking so that should be interesting. LOL
Count us in!
Thanks for the invitation. Unfortunately my schedule precludes attending but I’ll take a rain check on the paella. Anyway Lou & I will be celebrating all the next week in San Diego.
Yep, see ya in sunny San Diego, Chuck. We can think of crazy things to say about Queen A.
Bill and I will be delighted to Fete de Lou! (A new form of skip to my lou?) with a lovely helping of paella on the side. Shall we bring a salad? Or a dessert? (And if all the Christmas cookies aren’t gone, I’ll bring them too!)
Kudos to you Lou!
skipping will be the fun part of the party and cookies and I have been having our own little love fest the last two weeks…OY.
oh my gosh….I can’t believe it, Lou! With all this free time, I suspect you will be filling up this space with even more well thought out comments. And how will Miss TK handle this???
My only excuse for missing your party is a family situation (Dad having surgery). So, I’ll have to RSVP that week.
I will be hiding from her as she leaves in the mornings to go to work. #evil eye.
Sorry about your Dad’s surgery, hope it all goes well.
Sorry I’ll not be able to join the festivities, though paella and toasting (or roasting) Lou would have been fun. Congrats on being able to put your feet up (if the lovely Mrs. M will allow!)
I have to wear a haz mat suit at home so I don’t get anything dirty.
Well, now I’m tempted to try this Google hanging out…
Queen A is a master mistress of G+, so to hang out should be easy peasy.
Congratulations Lou!!!!
Thanks, Lori, it will be fun indeed.
I’m a 90% yes. I will try my best. Any chance to hang with Miss TK. And I guess that Lou person too.
Do I have to be a Rotarian to attend? I am not sure I could pass that initiation.
But I would love to come harass Lou! And, I already know where you live. (Creepy, isn’t it?)
Maybe I will even give Lou a big retirement hug.
EWWWWWWW!!
Happy Retirement, Lou!
Excellent! Paella is a wonderful retirement celebration dish!
Good for Lou! Congratulations!
Lou, big congrats, well played my friend! Retirement…no way, you’re just now hitting your stride. May you enjoy this next phase, well deserved!
Wonderful idea, Andra! Are you doing skypish things?
We will have a Google+ hangout set up, Kate. It would be a late night for you, but we’d love to see you.
We will be there!
