  1. Halfway. Doesn’t that sound awesome? Just think, that means you will be on the downside of your trip!!!!!! *claps hands and jumps up and down wildly* GO ANDRA!!!!!

    1. Downside and VERY uphill, but I don’t care. I will have proven to myself that I can walk as far as I have left to go, and that’s a very big deal.

  2. Awesome! Hey, quick question – is the phone # ending in 0888 your mobile? If so, I’m calling. ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. Walking on a prayer and with determination, you’ve made halfway. Yay for you! ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. It is raining here, hope it is better where you are! And no snakes for St. Patrick’s day for you.

    1. It was supposed to rain today, which is why I walked on my rest day yesterday. Of course, it’s sunny out today.

I answered your video question on my other post today. Did you see it?

      1. I did indeed! Meant to reply there but brain farted. Nice to know you prefer trees to bushes … Oh, and the occasional sign.

  5. I hope you are enjoying a sunny rest day today and wow, almost halfway through!!! I’ll click through to your Facebook now so I can be ready to share on Tuesday. ๐Ÿ™‚

So, you’re making up that rest day, right (RIGHT?). Hmmm… has anyone else actually done this in the same amount of time? I think the last leg of this trek should net you at least some national recognition (and a small parade).

At this point, I say sell your sole and get paid by some high end footwear company and maybe an insole company for this part of the trip, as you’re probably in need of the best walking clogs for your poor dogs AND you’re probably inspiring a few people to get off their asses and move a bit more than they used to.

Anyway, I feel bad because I just woke up from a nap (Okay, I was up all night tinkering on a project) and you’re out there hitting a bear on the head with a mile marker and scampering up a tree you hope it’s too fat and tired to climb…

    1. I took a rest day yesterday. Yes. The boatmen who used to travel the Trace did the 444 miles in as little as 21 days, but the average was around a month. I’m doing it in 34 days. Women didn’t travel the Trace, and the men who used it traveled in packs because it was so dangerous.

  7. the 2nd half will all be downhill for you. and may the wind be at your back on st. pat’s day )

  8. Rock on girl! The half way mark is a BIG deal! I’m cheering for you.

    1. It came in the last three miles of my day, Marie. I wish I’d been more excited, but I was so tired by that point.

      1. I imagine you were. I just hope knowing that you’re (now) more than halfway through will pick up your spirits (and your feet too).

  9. Woohoo!

  10. I’m choosing to forgive you for the Bon Jovi, because I think the world of you
