Make a Memory on the Web: NWMF Reader Sabrina Laitinen

Readers make writing worthwhile. While it would be great to be Neil Gaiman or Joyce Carol Oates, I'll take MY readers. Especially when they reach out and share what reading Not Without My Father meant to them. Butte, Montana's Sabrina Laitinen is one of those readers. She won my book in a Goodreads contest, but she got so much more. Thank you, Sabrina, for reaching out to me! Notes like yours make this crazy life worth it. How to Make a Memory, in Sabrina's words:

Especially when they reach out and share
what reading Not Without My Father meant to them.

Thank you, Sabrina, for reaching out to me! Notes like yours make this crazy life worth it.

How to Make a Memory, in Sabrina’s words:

sabrina laitinenThank you Andra for writing this story, and also for taking the time to personalize my copy.

 I will cherish it forever.

I’ve written a review on GOODREADS, as follows:

I received a copy of this through a GOODREADS contest.

Andra Watkins’ 444 (442?!) mile walk along the Natchez Trace is an interesting and poignant memoir. She convinces her father to join the quest, and together they discover a much wanted – and needed – connection and understanding between each other. Andra writes with complete abandon and passion. I really felt like I was with her on this quest: I could feel her joy as well as her disappointment. Not to mention the blisters and pain!

This book supports Andra’s plea that we all need to make special memories. To embrace our lives and make dreams come true – before it is too late.

I loved this book and wish all the best
to Andra and her family!

I am so happy for you and your family, with your new-found connection – and love.

I have taken extra steps with my family,
and this book has reinforced my decision
to make those memories every chance I can.

Cindy especially has proven a great friend to you.  I smiled a lot reading this as I know all too well the importance of real friends!

I wish you all the best and will support your books whenever and however I can!
