To All of You I Wish I Knew
Cyberspace can help us find people we think we’d like to know. In my own hometown, I met some people I count good friends through various online platforms.
Blogging has introduced me to other bloggers, folks I wish I could grab lunch with or get to know face-to-face. Some of them comment here once in a while. Today, I want to give a rundown of some of these far-flung people and their blogs. You might find someone else in this list you’d like to read.
Evolution You by Dena Botbyl
I read everything Dena posts. She is a wise lady and a poignant, talented writer. We met when she found a blog post I wrote about Paris. She was heading there for the first time, and she asked me all sorts of questions about things to do there. Dena is a life coach and speaker, and her insights are uplifting, challenging and always engaging.
Heed Not Steve by Steve Mitchell
Steve first commented on a post I wrote about how much I can’t stand it when people say ‘maybe.’ I’m elated that he took issue with me, because it helped me to find his multi-faceted blog. Like me, Steve posts every day. But, he mixes witty fiction and artful haikus into his stories from day-to-day life. Oh, and he likes to drink butter in his coffee.
Furniture by Yaakov by Yaakov Bar Am
I can trace my Father’s love of woodworking through the whole of my life. That may be part of the reason why I like Yaakov’s blog about his artisan woodworking business. Yaakov takes his craft and makes it accessible to anyone. Some of his posts are technical and some are just downright funny. If I’m ever in Baltimore, I’m going to visit his shop.
It’s Our Life by Sharon Sutton
Sharon likes to go camping. But, she really takes some amazing photos. When she posts, she doesn’t waste time. Her photos are lovely, and her commentary is fun and informative. You just might find a place (or several) to take yourself camping by checking out her blog.
Now and then, I will devote a post to other bloggers. This is a short list of a few I wish I really knew.
