By now, we all know Leonard Nimoy died last week. He was eighty-three. While most people will remember him as Star Trek’s iconic Spock, I admired him for a different reason.
Leonard Nimoy’s motto was four simple words:
Live Long and Prosper
He appended that reminder to everything he said. His tweets almost always ended with LLAP. And for as long as his illness allowed, he embraced life, right to his last tweet.
A life is like a garden.
Perfect moments can be had,
but not preserved,
except in memory.
LLAP
Leonard Nimoy understood the value of Making a Memory. Because of how he lived life, he will live beyond his death in the hearts of those who loved him.
Memories are life insurance policies. They leave something to hold in our hearts when a person is gone. Join the Make a Memory Movement HERE.

Sad that he passed, but we all must. I did think of you when I read his last tweet. So true and so perfect.
I’m glad I saw it. I’m so scattered. I miss a lot these days.
I thought it was “Live Long and Prosper.” I will miss him to the end of my days.
See above. I’m so scattered. I changed it. You are correct.
🙂
LLAP Nice
A good message for all of us. Especially now.
Thank you for posting this.
Thanks for reading, Kathy.
A fitting (and nicely short, sweet) tribute.
I hope he’d think so.
I’m glad we’re finding out such great things about his character. Many times you find out the opposite of when someone passes. He seemed like a lovely person and will be missed.
I always enjoyed him. I’ve never been much of a Trekkie, but he was bigger than that.
I loved Mr. Spock. I am still sad that Leonard is gone.
