USO High School Event Naples Italy
October 3, 2018 @ 8:00 am - 9:00 am
Make a Memory with NYT Bestselling Author Andra Watkins at the USO High School on base in Naples, Italy!
In March 2014, Andra Watkins became one of the only living persons to walk the 444-mile Natchez Trace from Natchez, Mississippi to Nashville, Tennessee. 15 miles a day. 6 days a week. For 34 days.
She did the walk to launch her debut paranormal historical thriller To Live Forever: An Afterlife Journey of Meriwether Lewis, but she ended up having a life-changing adventure with her 80-year-old father. Their journey together inspired her NY Times best selling memoir Not Without My Father: One Woman’s 444-Mile Walk of the Natchez Trace.
Andra’s presentation is irreverent, hilarious, and poignant. Attendees won’t find the usual author-behind-a-desk-or-podium program. Library patrons around the United States laugh and cry, but even more importantly, they leave and make memories with people who matter. Don’t stay home thinking this will be another boring author talk.
Here’s what prior attendees say about Andra’s appearances:
“I loved your talk and slides in Carrollton at my lovely library. Never heard of you but your bubbly personality influenced me to buy all four of your books! I have read your first 2. I’m impressed! Looking forward to the third and fourth.” – Robin Moore Collins, Carrollton, GA
“The best adult library program we’ve ever hosted.” – Erwin Magbanua, Programming Director, San Diego Public Library Main Branch
“Our patrons want Andra to visit again. One of the highest rated programs we’ve ever had.” Jennifer Devine, Programming Director, Durham NC Public Library
