Thank You For Clicking the Cootchie

Boredom. I started blogging because I was bored. I remember laughing at the notion that more than fourteen people would ever read a single thing I wrote. I was stunned that anyone chose to read my words. I still am.

Boredom. I started blogging because I was bored.

I remember laughing at the notion that more than fourteen people would ever read a single thing I wrote.

I was stunned that anyone chose to read my words.

I still am.

(Or, maybe ‘stunned’ is part of my perpetual personality disorder……..)

Anyway.

The relationships I’ve made and the friends I’ve forged through this space have changed my life. I love reading your comments, because of the things you reveal about YOU.

Your families.

Your insecurities.

Your humor.

Your experiences.

Your unique take on whatever drivel I post on a particular day.

Thank you for giving me so much.

We have a lot of new people here. In the spirit of fostering camaraderie in this burgeoning community, please take a few lines in a comment today to introduce yourselves – both seasoned readers and new. If you’re a fellow blogger, feel free to include a link to your blog.

Whether you’re a diehard Clicker of the Cootchie or a newbie, I just want us to have fun when we get together in this microscopic corner of the web.

    1. And, here’s a link to your blog, Jim:

      http://gingerfightback.com/2013/05/01/train-travel-tales-40-risk-assessment/

Jim’s take on all things ginger is hilarious. Here’s what I know about him: He lives in England, though I don’t know where exactly; He has a Mrs Ginger; He once walked across Westminster Bridge in London the day before I posted a picture of it on my blog; He likes multiple sports and once encouraged me to bet on some races with him via Twitter (my memory is loooooooong, Jim); He’d be a fun guy to visit a pub (or several) with.

  1. Ok Jim… you can do this… a-hem. Hi. I mean, Hi I’m Jim. I am blogging, I mean I have a blog. I blog… Oh hell. http://runningfather.wordpress.com/

That may be the purest introduction I ever gave. 😉 But for the more ordered among you, and the less apt to suffer my folly, here is a list prefixed by bullet-points… like my military-precise papa would do:

    • I am 44, recently single and living in the California desert.
    • blog looks like this: art, poetry, gorilla-spirituality, damn good times.
    • I am an eagle scout, ex-addict, I fight bi-polar disorder and I can forget anything I say or hear within a clean 24 hrs. It has it’s advantages. 😉

hehe thanks AC for a chance for therapeutic introductions. 😛

    1. I love your blog Jim – Your poetry is beautiful! 🙂

Here is my awkward introduction… ‘Hi, I’m Carrie and I write…’

So I’m Carrie, I live in sunny Queensland, Australia and my blog is http://magicandmarvels.wordpress.com/. I love to laugh, I love writing, I have a fond fascination towards life in general and I’m constantly talking.

Love visiting your blog Andra, your outlook on life is so refreshing (and hilarious!) 🙂

    2. Two Jims in a row.

We are the same age, Jim. I’ve not visited that part of CA, but it is on my list. I think MTM rode his motorcycle through there on his epic 8 month bike trip after grad school.

Thanks for playing along. I hope you find a few new readers from it.

      1. Sounds fab! Heron Island is absolutely gorgeous! Turns out I was already following Cate – I’m sure we have some kind of weird connection (everyone knows everyone around here!) 🙂

  2. Oh, I like this. I have to go and investigate gorrila-spirtuality at least. I’ll be back and see the others…
I’m speccy, blogging from Belfast in Northern Ireland. It’s wet and grey and green here. I blog about whatever’s in my head, so I can be trite, mopey, grumpy- all the dwarves. Mostly, though, I’m scintillating company 😉
    http://memineandotherbits.wordpress.com/
Also, I seem to have the same glasses as Andra.

    1. Fiona has two lovely daughters, and one of them is her made over. I have enjoyed following their adventures. Her husband is a fan of the Spurs. I’ve always assumed that to be football (soccer), but I’ve never been sure.

And then there is Jake. The dog. I love Jake.

She is spunky, even though she doesn’t think so. Since I have known her, she has gone from being the victim of a rare disease to an outspoken advocate for people whose suffering has largely been ignored, all while battling her own demons. When she was invited to the Ireland rare disease conference in Dublin, I cheered at her commentary when she addressed the group. I think she stole my glasses for that video. 🙂

      1. San Antonio Texas Spurs? Great basketball team. Has some older, tried-n-true starters (like Tim Duncan) which is inspiring for middle-aged slack-jaws, like me. 😉

  3. Here goes Andra.

We first met (May 2010) when you stayed with us during a Rotary visit to District 1070 (the east of England just above Cambridge).

I could never remember your name; i kept calling you ‘Andrea’??

My initial thought was that you travelled light (one holdall for 5 weeks stay).

My next was that you enjoyed blogging and you introduced me to a very good brand of Gin.

You enjoyed our visit to Crowland and your negotiations with the Pizza shop!!

You enjoyed our garden and loved Alfie.

We introduced you to Clive and Sue.

We enjoyed your wit and humour; you listened well (especially to Pete!!).

You and Alison were superb waitresses for our farewell evening.

You and MTM visited us for a long weekend (??? miles) over Thanksgiving (2011) and brought with you Grits!!

We introduced you both to English Pantomime and you both became part of the show.

We keep saying we will visit S.C some day and we will as we know so much about the place through your informative Bloggs.

Long live the Queen of bloggs!!

    1. Alan, your comments bring back memories plus your description of Andra is superb. Oh, and thanks for the waitress compliment!

So, I’m neiher a blogger, a writer, nor a regular commenter. More like a voyeur, I suppose. I read Andra’s blog and the reader comments every morning with coffee.

I live in Mount Pleasant, SC and unlike most of you, Andra and I live close, separated by the Cooper River. We We met through Rotary, see each other on a regular basis, and have traveled to England, Sao Paulo, and Buenos Aires together. Oh, and we share the same home town.

I love the community that has been created from this site and thank you all for letting me read with no obligation to comment!

    2. Alan, I can’t believe that trip was almost three years ago. I’m still trying to lose a few of the remaining pounds I gained after you introduced me to Aspall’s Cyder. Thank God I cannot find that stuff over here.

Alan is married to Margaret, and they have a daughter who was in the RAF at the time of our visit. (Is she still?) They live outside of Peterborough in a town called Thorney. There’s a Norman abbey there, and I turned my ankle in that sanctuary the very first day of our visit. I’m still in awe that he did some engineering on Burghley House.

You forgot to mention that everyone thought Alison and I were a lesbian couple and never knew whether to put us in the same bedroom or separate ones.

That Rotary trip produced many English friends. I still keep in touch with so many of them.

    3. Alison and I have the same accent, so if you’ve ever heard me talk, you know what she sounds like. After being gone from Florence for more than two decades, it still amazes me that people can pick the sound out.

We never knew each other in our hometown, but I’m glad Rotary introduced us. Alison’s mission on our trip to England was to try as many English ales as possible. She kept track of them in a little book and compared them like a connoisseur.

  4. I like fun – a lot! I’m sharing a sheep on my blog … 🙂 Funny story. I smile when I read it too. Perhaps the sheep muse wrote it. Should one laugh at your own words? Should and should not are the death (silence) of us all. In some way. So do it your way, your unique way. Who wouldn’t like to click a cootchie … he he http://marymeddlemore1.wordpress.com/

    1. Mary also has several ebooks available on her blog. Support an indie writer. Download her books.

  5. I enjoy reading for the sake of levity. Introduce myself? Fugitive anti-corruption investigator involuntarily trapped in international intrigue. Aspiring but frustrated author of folk stories and children’s literature (frustrated on account of involuntarily trapped in international intrigue.)

    The fun stuff:

    http://ronaldthomaswest.com/2013/04/24/breakfast-at-a-pizzaria/

    The NOT fun stuff:

    http://ronaldthomaswest.com/2013/04/22/this-particular-article-has-been-suffering-visibility-problems/

    C’est la vie, eh?

    1. An excellent introduction, Ronald. I’m looking forward to getting to know you…….at least, as much as you can reveal given the fugitive and the international intrigue bits………is that even true, or a ruse to confuse the secret government operatives who are chasing you…….. I’m kidding. 🙂

      1. I’m hiding in plain sight in Germany, I just keep a good self-discipline and follow some basic survival rules .. appreciate your moxie, posting my comments (the previous reply I tried typing here vanished, so if two show up, that’s why)

  6. Hi, my name is Robert and I am a blogger. It has been 851 days since I did not blog. (Hi Robert!)
Somedays I think I am a decent amateur photographer. Most days I think I am not. Yet I publish at least one picture daily and some people look at them!
I had the rare privilege over the past two days of having two respected professionals look over a set of my photographs. They both focused in on 3 or 4 of the same pictures. One thought they were the best pictures in my set, that they revealed my soul. The other thought they were framed well but flat and rather dull.
My blog today will be showing those pictures. I hope to have them up in about 12 hours.
    http://quotidianhudsonriver.com/about/
I have been playing in Andra’s sandbox for about two years now. I have had the privilege of meeting her and MTM and tasting some Cootchie Hootch (TM)

    1. Robert, that’s awesome about your pictures. Of course, the ones who said they revealed your soul were right. I’m looking forward to seeing them in a bit.

Robert is married to Katherine and has a teenage daughter named Abigail, though I believe she prefers ‘Abby G’. They live near NYU in Manhattan. He has a subversive theater background and knows how to run a big hotel better than anyone else I know. He says he’s from Boston originally, though I’ve never picked up that undercurrent in his voice when we’ve met. 🙂 We both look forward to seeing him when we visit the city. When MTM is talkative, it means he really connects with someone. He’s always really talkative around Robert.

  7. Hello Everyone! I love the idea of meeting you all here, and for those of you who have blogs I hope to wander over at some point. I for one am glad I “clicked the cootchie” as I feel like I’ve met a kindred spirit through her blog, even though we haven’t met in person. (Still hoping that would happen). I blog at Woman Wielding Words (http://lisawieldswords.wordpress.com/) where I wield words about everything and anything that I feel like, including poetry, some fiction, and many rants.

I’m a (gulp) writer, theatre artist, educator, mother, and confused human being.

One thing I’m not confused about, however, is that I <3 Andra and her blog.

    Lisa

    1. Lisa, we are going to meet this summer. It’s going to happen. Even though Tori has dropped off the planet, we are going to make her host us at her house in Nashville. We can just show up as two bag ladies and offer to entertain Thomas for her. 🙂

I love reading Lisa’s blog. The stories she writes about her daughter Sarah usually bring a tear. She is so lucky to have a mom like Lisa.

Lisa has lived all over the place. I love her stories about life in Japan and Hawaii. For the moment, she’s in Massachusetts, and she lives near a lovely botanical garden where she walks and takes pictures.

      1. Aw shucks. Thanks for your sweet words. Let’s get our evil (fun) plans under way. I have more specifics about my summer travel/work itinerary.

    2. Hello fellow Massachusetts-nian! (Woa, that was a long one). I enjoy your wielding words and inspiration!

      1. I’m not even going to to try to repeat that word, my fingers might fall off. Thank you for your kind comment. I just joined your blog and look forward to getting to know you better. (Who knows, since we are in the same state maybe we can actually be bloggers who meet.)

  8. Cam Garriepy, indie author and dedicated Cootchie Clicker, reporting for service.

This corner of the internets has been one of my favorites for some time, and I really have no idea how I ended up here, so I’ll just claim divine intervention. Pick your divinity, I’m not choosy about such things.

Andra, you continue to make me laugh, think, make the O_o face, and be awed. Don’t ever stop.

    1. Here’s a link to Cam’s blog:

      http://camerondgarriepy.com/

Buy her books. Every one of them.

Cam and I met in person on one of our trips to Boston. She picked an amazing breakfast place in Cambridge, and I wish I could’ve sat there all day and talked. She lives outside the city with her husband Mark and her son Felix, who has a great haircut but won’t show his face when we hangout on G+. She also has two talkative dogs.

  9. New boy Col Mobey. UK.

Writer-in-training, father who loves mountain biking. Blogger and writing slogger. Definitely not a thinker, but a bit of a tinker. Definitely not a poet, and I know it.

    I’ll stop now.

I clicked, I found, I read, I smiled. Them’s the instructions for the beginning of a great blog experience and that’s what I get here. Keep it up!

    1. Thanks for reading and for playing, Col. I stopped by initially because of your handle. Do you like Star Wars? I grew up in a house with a brother who was so obsessed with it that he revealed the sex of his son by calling people, breathing into the phone and saying, “Luke, I am your father.” Yes, the son’s name is Luke.

      1. Nah, I’m not obsessed. What’s the one above that? If I’d had a son first I’d would have called him Luke. Instead we had a girl, but little Death Star doesn’t mind not being called Luke.

Your brother sounds like a great guy. I dream of the day my daughter quotes her brother as doing something as cool. It will be a proud moment.

I love all things geeky and nerdy. Fits me like a glove. Then I go mountain biking with the ‘cool’ kids and convert them. Seems to work out for me.

One quick thing to add to the “great blog” comments – the fact that you are replying to each and everyone one of these comments and taking the time out to personalise your response.. just awesome. Show’s what kind of gal you are. Kudos.

I plan on playing for a while.

      2. Several new bloggers have messaged me and asked me how to build a bigger blog audience. For those taking the time to read all these comments, this post is an example. 🙂

The secret to blogging (or anything, really) is this: People care about what they have to say more than they care about what I have to say.

Thanks for giving me more information about you. It always helps me connect with a blogger when I know them better.

  10. I’m Cheryl AKA the ConnectionMaven. I’m a mother of grown sons, a wife to Bill, and a poet, a singer, a bird watcher, cook, and wine drinker in my private life. In my public one, I’m a marketing PR and web wonk. I’d like the poet bit to come first, but spend little time or energy on it, so I guess I’m a poet by avocation. I met Andra IRL because 4.5 years ago, I had launched a new business and wanted to have someone help me out with a few bits of advice and Andra was the woman I turned to, because I’d read about her in our local newspapers and thought (rightly so) that she was/is just the astute mind I needed to help me comprehend a few things. I blog mostly on my business blog The Connection Maven Writes at Charleston PR. And my poetry is found at Poetry, Scribblings and Thoughts http://cherylsmithem.wordpress.com/. I love Andra. I’m not ashamed to say it. She is a bringer together of more than words. She is a force of nature.

    1. I love you, too.

Anyone who says you can’t make meaningful connections online is a liar, because without Twitter, I never would’ve met you.

  11. I started blogging because I couldn’t find anyone else to listen to me, but I’m certainly glad I found your Blog

  12. Good Morning! My name is Lori…don’t know what else to say about myself, except to say that when I read Andra’s blog it affects me…sometimes it keys into memories…sometimes it keys into emotions that have been hiding, or elusive…but most times she makes me smile and giggle. I come to Andra’s blog because of the connection…it’s kind of strange to have a connection with someone that you’ve never met physically (or so I’ve been told), but I feel a connection and I enjoy reading the comments that she makes as well as those that read her blog. Andra makes a difference in my life and I really enjoy her blog…she has also introduced me to several other bloggers and I’ve truly enjoyed getting to “know” them also. Not sure what all that says about me. 🙂

    1. Lori lives in Idaho. I’ve never met her, but I feel like she is one of my dearest friends. I love her fearlessness with her hair, her love of the outdoors, and her take-no-prisoners brand of hiking. She loves Mike and her children, and whether she thinks so or not, she got everything right.

Lori found her way here because she is a fan of Kidd Kraddick in the Morning, a syndicated radio show out of Dallas, TX. I grew up with one of the hosts on that show, and when I wrote about her on my blog, she shared it with her (massive) following.

  13. Hello! I’m fairly new to the blogosphere, recently started my blog when I got the itch to write again after many, many years of nothing. I’m enjoying your blog immensely, I love your sense of humor :). Besides my blog, I’m in the process of switching over to a site. If you care to visit, it’s feygrrl.com.

    xoxo
    AV

    1. Here’s a link to your blog that works:

      http://feygrrl.com/

When she says explicit, she means it. 🙂 I hope your blog takes your writing everywhere you want it to go. I look forward to getting to know you.

      1. Thanks! I hope you enjoyed that one little piece.

I didn’t realize the link didn’t work. That’s what I get for sneaking on while at work.

  14. I’m Jessie the jester queen at http://jesterqueen.com I found the blog through the now defunct Early … I can’t remember the rest of the title, I’m sure Andra remembers her. She was French. Still is, I presume. Went through a rough breakup and stopped blogging. Sadness.

Anyway, I swear, talk about writing, give samples of life with my autistic kids, and sometimes even actually write on my blog. Oh! Also, I bitch about living in Alabama.

    1. Earlybird. Her handle was Earlybird. I still wonder how she’s doing. She was English but had lived in France for more than two decades. Her tarte tatin recipe is the best.

Both Sam and Caroline are into ballet, and I love following that. Both she and her husband Scott teach at a college in Montgomery. I *think* Scott teaches history because of his request for my father’s StoryCorps recounting of his role in the UGA race riots. I also never cease to be impressed by her kids’ taste in music.

Jessie is a tenacious mom. Even when she is despairing, she shows her kids how to be excellent people.

    2. Earlybird! That’s how I found Kate, and by extension you AND Jessie! I miss her.

  15. I am the Subversive El(k)ement and I am very much looking forward to the upcoming Towel Day on May 25.

  16. Just me. I’ve already said too much about my myself over time, so, I’ll just say “hi” and welcome to all the blogging newbies out here.

  17. I am very new to blogging and following Andra has been encouraging for me. I started writing a cookbook about a year ago while trying to diet. It’s a bad duo. Anyway, I started blogging to keep me motivated and my brain happy. It needed another outlet besides work. mrsugarbears.com Thank you Andra for inviting us to share on your blog. I love it! If only I had your wit 🙂

    1. Shannon, I’m not sure your link works above, so here’s a link to your post on the drink The Red Vixen.

      http://mrsugarbears.com/2013/04/30/the-red-vixen/

      Yum.

So far, I have followed Shannon through an adventure in cleansing, which could’ve been really gross, but she handled it with decorum and aplomb. 🙂 I look forward to getting to know you better.

  18. Thank you Andra. You amaze me with what you’ve achieved in your work life and how you manage to write here every day as well!
As for me, I’m closing on 41, English with a very dry sense of humour, three children, and a workaholic husband. I’ve always loved writing; have done a lot of it via work but wanted to
develop it in a different way. Here I am: http://andnowforthesecondhalf.wordpress.com/

    1. I’m very sorry about your grandmother.

A blog is a great petri dish for writing. I look forward to seeing how yours develops as you blog. 🙂

  19. <——- saluting member of the Coochie Company

I love it all here. The suggestive post titles, the Charleston Travel Guide, the way you bring the funny, and how you interact with your charges – people like me – who dig your words.

    1. Here’s a link to your blog, Lance:

      http://lancemyblogcanbeatupyourblog.wordpress.com/2013/05/01/100-word-song-heavenly-day/

Lance lives in Georgia, though he sometimes wonders why. (I think that’s true, anyway.) He hosts a great meme called 100 Word Song, and those of you who are into writing memes and prompts would do well to play along. He has a varied and eclectic taste in music. He lives with a bunch of women. And he has a book available at the moment. Head over to his blog and buy it.

  20. Hi Andra, my name is Lisa and yes, I am one of your “newbies”. 🙂 Thanks for graciously welcoming me into your cootchie community and showing us all some of your southern hospitality. I write and post pictures about my favorite travels and sights in the Pacific Northwest through my blog Northwest Frame of Mind: http://nwframeofmind.com/ and welcome anyone who would like to stop by for a visit. I look forward to your posts every day for a chance to laugh, think, read and connect and am happy to be here today!

    1. Lisa, it’s great to know your name. I always try to learn reader names.

I really love your pictures of the Pacific Northwest. It’s one of my favorite places in the US, and I don’t get there nearly enough because it costs so freaking much to fly there from here. I look forward to getting to know you better in the coming weeks and months.

  21. First of all, I’m so grateful you were bored. Because that introduced me to you and your wonderful writing. And through you, I learned about all of these great blogs. I’m an aspiring novelist working on my debut fantasy novel for middle grade/young adults. I started the novel as part of the requirements for my MFA. I just started blogging this year. Here’s my blog address: http://lmarie7b.wordpress.com/

    1. I thought I was following your blog……I am sorry. I am now.

All the best with your MFA. I enjoy following and hearing about the adventures of others through that process. I look forward to reading your novel someday.

  22. I am not a blogger, but, I love to read a few and comment occasionally. I know Andra through Rotary and she has become a really good friend, exactly the same in person as she is online. The most fun is to watch her get into her “story-telling” mode with the strange looks, inflections and eyes popping out when she tells Roy Boy stories.
As far as info about me, married to the Lovely Miss TK, a recent grandfather, and pretty boring 99.9% of the time. Oh yeah, like Cheryl, a committed wine drinker, definitely not a connoisseur although committed to the thought that volume will result in expertise.

    1. Lou failed to mention that he is the incoming District Governor for Eastern South Carolina Rotary Clubs. Given that District 7770 is one of the biggest districts in the world, that’s quite an accomplishment. Lou is known by everyone as Mr Rotary, and I am convinced he will be international President someday.

I hope he will still remember the little people.

Lou is from Ohio and is a rabid Ohio State fan. He also likes Jenni’s Ice Cream, doesn’t eat much red meat, likes to go on cruises and buy things like art and deep diving watches (though he doesn’t dive, he is susceptible to good salespeople). He also loves going out on his boat. He is besotted with the Lovely Miss TK, after almost twenty-six years of marriage. Everyone loves Lou, because he makes others feel important in a genuine way.

  23. Happy May Day! I love blogging parties. I came across ‘Cootchie’s’ blog because Cootchie is my nick name. Really, except that it’s spelled, Cuchi but pronounced the same. I knew I had to meet this Cootchie Mama and boy am I glad I did. She is a definite Brick House. 🙂 I am the mother of two teens who definitely do not consider me to be even close to a cool mom. I embarrass them all the time when I dance in public and when I turn on my heavy spanish accent. My husband is a complete saint (and pretty handsome too) and has been my rock (I mean BOULDER) since I got diagnosed with RA. You will find me dancing 24/7. Can’t wait to meet new friends!

    1. I never knew that was your nickname. Singing “Brick House” to myself as I type. Oh, let’s all listen to it again:

      http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rrBx6mAWYPU

No teens think their parents are cool, but I think it’s awesome that you remain true to yourself in spite of them. 🙂 They’ll come around eventually. I wish I could do a heavy spanish accent…….sadly, it still sounds like a product of The South.

  24. You put your right foot in
Your put your right foot out
You put your right foot in
And you shake it all about
You do the Hootchie Cootchie . . .
    And you turn yourself around

    That’s what it’s all about!

    Here’s to clicking the cootchie!

    1. Here’s a link to Nancy’s great blog:

      http://nrhatch.wordpress.com/2013/05/01/cant-sleep-without-sheep/

Whenever I’m down in the dumps, it is a great place for me to haunt. Nancy is one of the most positive people I’ve met in the Great Blogosphere, and I appreciate that she is never afraid to tell me exactly what she thinks. She is a recovering lawyer, and she lives on Anna Maria Island in Florida with her BFF. Oh, and she also attended the University of South Carolina, once upon a time.

      1. Thanks, Andra! This has been quite the party today. Yay! Hot off the hootchie cootchie presses, here’s a jingle for your blog:

You can’t stop reading this blog
        Reading this blog
        Reading this blog

You can’t stop reading this blog
        So click the Cootchie now

        Roll on the floor
        Roll on the floor

        We’re laughing out loud
        Click the Cootchie now

        http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CeLt2TFXdQg

  25. Glad I discovered your blog, even if it sort of was by accident. Things happen for a reason I suppose. Need more people like you and me in this world. Keep writing, always.

    1. Nick, where is your blog? Forgive me. I have so many new people here, and I’m sure I’ve hit your blog somehow. Please come back and post a link. It isn’t here or in the Tweet you sent earlier.

I answered your question there in my string of conversation with Col above. Take a look-see.

  26. Thanks for this, Andra!
I’m kind of in the middle of taking a break and returning to blogging at the moment, things are up in the air, I’m sporadic, and love playing with words. I like to waffle incessantly, love to read great blogs (of which Andra’s is one, of course!) and feel utterly deflated when I’m away from Blogland. So, I’m currently a sporadically deflated waffler… which doesn’t sound very good actually. I live in Cheshire in the North of England, and love to Feel Good. My blog is a kind of escape from reality, with little tidbits of reality thrown in for good measure. Visitors are always welcome, although first time visitors may have to ring loudly on the doorbell – I will get to you eventually.
I will be posting a new post soon… I will. I will. Until then, though, happy May!
Andra… I’m not very good at introductions… will this do?

    1. Tom, you are much better with introductions than you think you are. 🙂 Except that you forgot to give us a link to your very imaginative and entertaining blog:

      http://wellheregoes.wordpress.com/2013/04/29/keeping-on-keeping-on/

What Tom did not tell you is that he is obsessed with the year 1642, that he has hilarious alter egos and issues with his hair. I always imagine him walking around with his brain on fire, and maybe that contributes to the hair problem. 🙂

You’ve been in my thoughts, Tom. Whatever is happening, please know you have friends around the globe who are thinking of you.

  27. I’m Amber (though frequently called Andra in Tuesday morning Rotary meetings), and I am so excited to have new links to so many blogs. In my 4.7 minutes of free time, I will check them out one by one. I met Andra (and Alison, Lou and Miss TK, and Debbie) through Rotary and am pleased that I now have friendships with them too. Andra came along at a time when I needed a female friend, and I’m grateful to her for that and for letting me/us into her writing.

I’m a small business owner, a good wife, mom to 2 littles, an insomniac, addicted reader of fiction. I don’t watch a lot of TV, but when I do it’s usually shows designed for males 18-25. I am a Formula One and gun enthusiast, infrequently ride a Honda Nighthawk 750. I love popcorn. A lot.

    1. Really? After almost a year of me pounding the gavel at the front of the room, you still get called Andra? I mean, several of the members still butcher my name, but I haven’t been called Amber in a while now………I miss it, actually.

Amber and I once had a Popcorn Tasting Party. No judgment, people. No judgment.

  28. I love this and I am truly grateful for you! Also, I am terrible at introductions…

So if you were to spot me walking across the coffee shop you will notice that I have already spilt coffee down my white shirt and tripped over an old ladies walker. I put out my hand to greet you and at that very moment a tampon falls out of purse.

    *awkward silence*

It is from that point on I try very hard to impress you with my carnie stories even though I just failed on so many levels that you may never want to speak with me again.

Oh! And My name is Darcie! I promise our next meeting will be much better! And I will have coffee for you. If you need booze I have that too.

    1. I think you and I would get along very well.

      1. Thank You, Andra! I have discovered Vlogging takes liquid courage and it still terrifies me. I prefer the process of writing much more 🙂

The Canadian Rockies are waiting for you to soak up the scenery! I will have a hot toddy waiting for your arrival 🙂

    1. Thanks, John! I have several of these needing attention. I always promise to get back to them and then get distracted……..I will do my best to acknowledge this one in the coming week.

      1. I understand. I really think this one was for opening your post to the community. Very nice. 🙂

    1. Here’s a link to Christy’s poetry blog:

      http://poeticparfait.com/2013/05/01/be-me-be-strong/

And, I just have to say THANK GOD for Christy. I met her at a moment on Google+ when I was despairing that it was a place where men with names I could neither read nor pronounce kept asking me out and trying to hangout with me. I knew I shouldn’t give up, but those moments were hard. (Still are.) I really look forward to her posts. She lives in Victoria BC, a place I always love to explore, and she is a very talented writer.

      1. Thank-you, Andra, for the kind mention here! A smile is on my face! I agree there is a fair share of the icky men but also a good portion of nice spirits at G+. Happy to call you my friend!

  29. and thank you for being the greatest hostess the internet has ever known! Viva la Cootchie!

  30. Just don’t ever stop blogging, Andra, is all I can say. You’re habit-forming.

    1. Here’s a link to Kate’s blog, which I have been known to read at the 4 in the morning when I get up to go to the bathroom:

      http://kateshrewsday.com/2013/05/01/bedlam-broadmoor-and-bed-and-breakfast/

(She did NOT need that visual. I’m sorry, Kate.)

Kate lives near London with Phil, Maddie, Felix, Clive Bond (cat) and Macaulay (dog). She lives at the edge of an Iron Age fort, loves to give us captivating tours of obscure bits of history, and rides her new bike like a siren. I had the pleasure to meet her and Phil in London in 2011, and I wish we lived closer, largely because I want to take every single tour she goes on. With her. It wouldn’t be the same if I came to England and went alone.

I once made a video of a lizard for her nephew Big Al, who was fascinated by the notion of a lizard living in our toilet. He was four at the time. It’s still one of my all-time favorite posts.

  31. I’m a relatively new member of the blogging ranks, and I’m still trying to figure it all out. I started following Andra’s blog after see liked one of my posts. I was brand new to the whole thing and I thought wow, someone actually read something I had to say, let’s see what their blog is all about. Needless to say after one quick courtesy click I was hooked.

My blog is still under development, but I’m trying to include some of the things I find enjoyable these days! You can find me at http://booksforbelle.wordpress.com/

Thanks for a little bit of fun with every post!

    1. A blog is ALWAYS under development. We never arrive. 🙂 At least, I haven’t. I look forward to getting to know you better through your blog. Thirty-seven is NOT a weird year for reflection. It was one of the best years of my life.

    1. Aw, Cate. That’s very kind of you to say. A link to Cate’s blog is posted above, but I will include it again here for continuity’s sake:

      http://cateartios.wordpress.com/2013/05/01/supportwriters/

Cate lives in Brisbane and has written multiple books. She is a dogged supporter of other writers and a great believer in giving to others. She also has a wicked sense of humor. Please check out her blog and buy her books. You won’t be sorry.

      1. Sorry, migraine in progress and heavy pain killers in use. I missed that part about including an intro and link.

  32. I adore your writing. So so refreshing and genuine and all that is good.

I’m Amy. Today is the first time I stumbled onto your corner of the web so I guess it’s safe to say I’m a new follower.

I live in the Southwest. I grew up on a farm/ranch and graduated #2 in a class of 27 from a very small school. In a town that doesn’t have a stop light. After college (Oklahoma State), I moved to China. Shenzhen. Slightly different than a town that only boasts stop signs. It was a wonderful growth experience for a year – I totally found myself in China. I’ve been back in my Southwest US world for about six years now with a house and a job and a fiance and two cats.

I write a little, here and there, about a random assortment of things at http://adesertgirl.wordpress.com.

Looking forward to reading more, Andra!

    1. Amy, your blog is a recent find for me, and I’m glad to now be following you, too. I grew up in a very small town, but I didn’t have the nerve to do what you did. China? Ballsy. And I very much admire ballsy.

I look forward to getting to know you better. And, MTM and I visit the Southwest at least once a year. It’s a big place, but you may be somewhere close to where we go (usually Scottsdale, but this year, also Sedona, both in June.) So, if you’re anywhere close, let me know. I always love to meet bloggie people.

  33. This is very fun! What a great idea and a nice way to meet more people. Hi, I’m Debra, and I live in the Los Angeles area, and I have a rather eclectic blog. I’m interested in California history and nature, and I enjoy local field trips following a story here and there. Since I live in one of the most congested spots on earth, I have chosen to make the most of it! And my African Spurred Tortoise, Darwin, is pretty popular, too! 🙂

    http://www.breathelighter.wordpress.com

    Great party, Andra!

    1. I get to meet Debra in person in November, and I am SO excited. I already feel like she is a dear friend from corresponding through our blogs.

Debra takes gorgeous pictures of the California landscape, whether it’s her back yard or urban Los Angeles or jaw-dropping vistas close by. She also digs out obscure bits of California history and weaves stories and causes into her blog. I learn so much when I stop by. She’s a vegetarian and turned me on to a grow-your-own mushroom kit for MTM. I gave it to him for Christmas, and it provided no end of hilarity (and fungi) in our household for close to two months.

    1. Noel, I’m so glad you joined us. I recently ‘met’ you, and I’m looking forward to getting to know you better.

  34. I’m Roxanne, and i write The Good Luck Duck. i’ve been traveling in an RV with my wife, six cats, and a big dog; we like to find crazy wilderness places to stay.

Now, I’m about to start a solo journey in a rig of my own. There is no particular goal, except to turn my Toyota Prius into a fabulous, self-contained hybrid RV party wagon.

Andra, I can’t remember when I met you, but I’ve never stopped being amazed at how you support and nurture writers of all types. You exemplify “a rising tide raises all boats.”

    1. Roxanne, we have known one another since the early days of my blog. I can’t remember if I found you first, or if you found me, but it doesn’t matter. You and Annie are a delight. Your discussions of composting toilets should win an award. And, I never knew anyone could be ‘no poo’ until I met you.

If you’re in the mood to bring your party wagon up to Scottsdale in June, please let me know. We will be there from the evening of the 13th to the 16th.

  35. Either I’m getting old, or the ADD gene rampant in my family has finally taken hold in my brain b/c as much as I want to read through all the 109 comments previous to mine, I can only seem to focus on the last five — so Hi! Roxanne, Noel and Three Well Beings. Pleasure meeting you — and of course, you Andra.

Glad to have recently found your blog. You make me laugh! And you make me feel listened to. These are the two things I need more than anything else — even food.

I’ve been blogging since before they were called blogs (about 10+ years) in various forms and formats. But only in the past few months have I become a die-hard blog reader! I’ve always wondered to myself — are there people who actually READ blogs? (Maybe this has something to do with being a lazy blogger who hasn’t done much to promote my blog since the days I used to write about Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Back then, I actually had a peanut gallery of commenters too). All that blithering aside: A bit about me. I’m Jen, I live in Israel. I write about my experiences as an expat, a Jew-in-progress, and a mindful mama trying to figure out how life goes on after 40. (Which I am rapidly approaching.) I do that at http://imadealiyah.wordpress.com I’m a reformed New Jerseyan, and a former Jewish cowgirl (having lived 4 years in Tucson.) I also have a huge crush on instagram

    1. Jen, I’m so glad you weighed in with this introduction. I only found your blog recently, and I think it is fascinating to read about life from your perspective. I particularly enjoyed your excitement about being able to read a sign in Hebrew. The only time I’ve ever been somewhere where I couldn’t read anything was in Bangkok. It was a quick visit, but I felt so disoriented the whole time. It has to be so much harder to learn a language that isn’t based in something familiar.

  36. Hi been doing this a little over three months. I’ve found it so amazing to connect with people who just like to write and share the things they think are cool. Andra has been my Word Press Yoda. Total encouragement. My name is Dave and my blog is called Killing Time. Movies, Tv, books, comics, games, and general geekery. I would love to have you stop by and offer suggestions and comments. The link is http://sleeplessthought.wordpress.com.

    1. Thanks for commenting, Dave. I really like the Heath-Ledger-as-The-Joker avatar you have on Twitter. I always stop and look at it in my feed.

      1. I find it nicely balances my Word Press Gandalf avatar so that my actual sanity lies somewhat as the balance on that seesaw of extremes lol.

  37. Andra….I have thoroughly enjoyed reading all of the comments and I can say that I know follow a lot more bloggers. Yay! Thanks so much – this was GREAT! Oh, and thank you also for the kind words you said about me. 😀

  38. Proof that you can become a rock star just by being you. We don’t have to be anything else.

  39. Wow! I just read all these comments and I should be doing a ton of other things! What a fun blog post. I click in every day and I can’t imagine starting my day without you!

  40. ooh, I love introductions! It doesn’t even bother me that I’ll immediately forget your name but remember that your dogs name is Homeslice and then I’ll accidentally call you that for the rest of your life. Plus, left to myself, I’ll embellish.
“My name is Laura, but my friends call me L Whack from when I was a famous DJ. I played at the White House. No. Not that one. It’s a pub in Windermere, BC. In Canada.’

No, I have a blog about ovarian cancer. Cuz that’s what I have. If I had a million dollars I’d blog about that. Darn it. No, just my luck, I rant and rave about everything but I’m pretty nice all considered. Mostly I try and get through this without losing my sense of humour or proportion. It’s not easy. I mean, this one time? I got cut off ON THE FERRY?! I’m still bitter about that. And other times I rant and rave and then that’s good enough I don’t post that so I’ll write about a trip I took in 1991. Rivetting stuff.
Hi Andra! Great idea! My inbox is going to be STUFFED!

    1. L Whack? Seriously? That’s an awesome nickname.

I think you do a great job of talking about what’s happening to you. You have every right to rant and rave. And, I will still enjoy following your blog in five years…..when you’re still here.

  41. Awww, what a lovely post ::) I try to stop by when I can but I don’t always have the time and I think this is my first time commenting… or is it? I don’t know… I lose track…

So I’m Richard… I write my blog, The Last Song I Heard, for my son, to tell him about my past and our shared present because I’m going through a divorce and I don’t know how often I’ll get to see him. I want him to know more about me and to record my memories of the things we do together.

I call it The Last Song I Heard because i take my cue from the songs I hear on my iPod… many of these songs remind me of a particular time, person or event in my life… and that’s what inspires me to write my post 🙂

And now I’m looking forward to finding a few new blogs to follow and friends to meet 🙂

    1. You’ve commented before, but I’m glad you came by to introduce yourself. I look forward to getting to know you, Richard, as you share experiences with your son.

  42. Hello! I meant to comment on this the other day, but my anti-virus software is finicky and won’t let me comment without turning it off (it’s weird, I know…I just deal with it).

My name is Ryan, and I live in Houston. I’m currently pursuing a degree in visual effects. I enjoy it, but my true passion is and always has been writing. I’m hoping to combine the two to provide some fun stuff in the future.

I’ve really enjoyed what I’ve read so far and look forward to reading more!

  43. Always loved that video. And now that song is stuck in my head for the rest of the day. 🙂

  44. I love your posts. Your sense of humor and style of writing is a breath of fresh air! Keep up the wonderful work!

  45. Here goes then, speaking as someone whose skin crawls when they do those circle introduction thingies. I’ve been blogging under http://beautifulrailwaybridgeofthesilverytay.me/ since 2009, and it feels like home. A place to unleash my inner weirdness and inflict my photos on you, dear readers. In the old days, you had to drag people into your living room, befuddle them with strong drink, and only then could you show them your holiday slides from Torremolinos. Blogging makes it so much easier….

Blogging is a window on the world, and other people’s lives, a way to make friends you’d never meet in the ordinary course of events.

Love your stuff, Andra. You’ve redefined my image of Rotarian.

    1. Good grief, Paul. How have I missed all these comments?? Very sorry.

I love Paul’s blog. It’s pretty. It’s deep. It makes me think. He’s the only bear that doesn’t make me scream. 🙂

One of my writing missions is to redefine Rotary. I’m glad it’s working for you, Paul.

  46. My name is Rachel, otherwise known as LibraryMom (http://librarymom12.wordpress.com/). I am a new reader and I found Andra’s blog after she visited mine and started following it. I think most of her posts are hilarious and she’s a great writer! I lived in South Carolina for 5 years and was married there. I have trained to be a Youth Services Librarian in a Public Library, but have not been able to find work in one, so I’ve been working as a Secretary and other jobs in the meanwhile. I have a 21 month old son. I started blogging in grad school as a creative outlet, something to take my mind off classes and I started my current blog a little over a year ago (just posted my 100th post which I am quite proud of).

    1. Thanks for introducing yourself, Rachel. I hope you had a lovely Mother’s Day.

One of my friends is in youth services at our local library. She picks the books for the YA audience.

Where in SC did you live?

  47. I’ve been ‘Clicking the Cootchie’ ever since I saw a gravatar of a hot redhead and clicked! It distresses me deeply that the photo is no longer featured on the right of her page… I now have to go to her facebook page to see the self described ‘Aspiring Novelist and wacky blogger’.

    1. Whatever do you mean, Ted? Isn’t my photo still here somewhere? I used to have a rule of no pictures of myself on my blog, unless it was the back of my head. Hence, the one up top.

Ted lives in Washington State and takes lots of interesting pictures at his blog here: http://tedbooksdailypics.com/2013/05/12/frenchie-and-me/

He’s also a friend to aspiring writers. I’ve read at least one book he’s recommended, and I never would’ve found it without him. (The Red Kimono.)

      1. Hey… thanks, Andra…

Oh, it was your facebook profile pic that used to be on here… I always thought it was a gorgeous photo of you.

Wait a minute! What do you mean no photos of you? You are constantly putting photos of yourself… that’s why we love you… just scroll to the top and take a look.

  48. My favorite ’80’s song
It represents the whole mood of the ’80’s
    I like your mood too
    Thanks for coming by!

  49. it is a mother’s role to embarrass her children, keep up the good work and happy mother’s day!

  50. Hello Andra,
I just “met” you yesterday when you were kind enough to click on my blog mindfulmagpie.com. That was the equivalent of introducing yourself to someone new in town. And now I feel so welcome. My name is Mary Beth, and I am a clinical social worker in Memphis TN. My blog is about my own interests such as books, gardening, traveling, being a middle aged empty nester, and other general things I consider to be cool or fun. Nice to meet you all, and you’re all invited to the mindfulmagpie. It may take me a while but I’m going to visit all of you. There’s no substitute for Southern hospitality!

    1. I look forward to getting to know you better, Mary Beth. I’ve never been to Memphis, and I need to rectify that. Thanks for taking the time to introduce yourself. I always like to learn names.

      1. And I you, Andra. Now I have to read your entire archive. Well, I don’t have to. I want to.

  51. Hello, Andra. I’m Andrea, with an ‘e’. I happened upon your blog today after you liked the post on my blog: http://www.andreaodle.com
I’m new to blogging as I recently started pursuing a career in writing. I’m finding the writing community is full of wonderful, talented, genuinely nice people who are willing to help out newbies like me who are just getting started in the business. I live in Southern Illinois and I’ve been teaching children for 10 years…now I want to write for them! Thanks for the opportunity to meet more people. I’m always looking for ways to network.

    1. It’s never too late to pursue a dream, Andrea. Never. I look forward to following your journey and to giving your books to the kids in my life someday.

  52. I’ve been a reader for the past 2 years or so and have had the pleasure of lunching with Andra over various tweetups. I believe I found Andra through Twitter, which is how I met most of my entrepreneurial friends (love it!). I manage an inspired living blog where I document my creative adventures and also vlog my vegan weight loss efforts. I also work part-time from home as a content creator and am a non-traditional homeschooling mom. http://lauracatherine.co.

    1. So glad you stopped by and added your comment, Laura. It’s been too long since I’ve seen you. I hope we have a get together on the horizon soon.

  53. Hi, Andrea! I am glad that I found your blog and that you, “liked” a couple of my posts and therefore, connected “us!” Thank you! I attempt to write meaningful life stories and hope to perfect my craft. That is my “dream.” I look forward to reading more of your posts!
    Sincerely,
    Lynne

    1. Thanks for stopping by, Lynne. I look forward to getting to know you through your writing.

  54. Hey Andra. Thanks for liking my post today. Read your post and yeah, it is pretty cool that people are able to express their thoughts and ideas and that others from around the world can read them. We live in a cool time indeed. Cheers!!

  55. Hello, Thanks for liking my blog (niasimoneauthor.com! I also have started following one person who commented here. I didn’t have time to read them all, but it’s a nice group and a really good idea. See you ’round the blogosphere.

    1. Glad to hear that this post is still making connections for people. Makes me happy, Nia.

  56. Hey, I’m Rob, aka greatbigdragon or RobLobster. I’m 35 in North Dakota and blogging about whatever in an effort to find my “thing”, if there even is such a thing. Everyone check me out @ Rob’s Surf Report!

    http://www.robssurfreport.com

  57. Hi I’m Nicole and I’m a fellow blogger also! 🙂 thank u for checking out my blog:maizeydaisy’s Blog-a journey to the new me | Life before and after weight loss surgery
http://maizeydaisy.wordpress.com/ Please feel free to check it out as well as my second blog Life Perfectly Imperfect! 🙂 thank you!

  58. Hi Andrea, Thanks for liking my post. I am new to blogging, and am loving it. I am a new full-time mom; baby is 10 months old. I love being a mom, but I am home most of the time. Blogging has given me another window to the world. I read a few of your posts – and you are very humorous! Cheers, Mrs. J

  59. I love your posts. I’m hoping that my blog will at some point make you smile the way your humor makes me smile (not creepily…dryly, I suppose). I’m blogging to work things out externally b/c my best friend moved away, then I moved away from all of my other friends. How do I understand myself without daily convos with my people?! Distress>Blogging>Mental clarity (Yay!).

Anyways, you already follow me, so this link is for others: http://manifaustin.wordpress.com.

Also: I def thought you were British b/c the shagging post is the first one I read. Although I don’t care that you’re not; your still a doll and very droll (there’s a Jeopardy clue somewhere in there). Sorry I’m commenting so much.

    Happy blogging!

  60. Thank you Andra for liking my posts. Like you I did not know if people would look into my posts. I am glad that you have been an avid follower–it means a lot to me. Here is my site for those of you who wish to see my site: http://www.princesdailyjournal.com

  61. What a fun post! I’ve seen your comments around the blog world for some time (I think mostly on Nancy at Spirit Lights The Way.) I noticed that you have liked a couple of my recent posts, so I decided to check out some of your posts. (Never mind that it’s Friday night and this is how I spend my time. Really, my life isn’t as pathetic as it looks :))

  62. Just discovered your blog and really love it. We are full time RVers (3 years) and have recently slowed down to enjoy Sarasota for a few months. If you’d like to check out our blog, it’s “Where’s Eldo?” on Blogger. If you google it, it comes right up…

  63. Abdra,
I just discovered your blog but I already love the perspective you put out there.
    Let have some fun.

    And thanks 🙂

  64. Hi, Andra! I, too, am middle-aged, so I understand the shock that comes with it — ‘I’m HOW old?”

And I also started blogging because I was bored. And like any decent blogging person, I link to my blog at the slightest provocation: http://somanyfeebs.com. At least, I hope it automatically links. I don’t know — all this new-fangled technology stuff. These kids today, with their phones and their blogs and their pants…

Anyway, thanks for letting me pimp my blog in your comments section. I’m going to go back and continue reading yours now, because I’m really enjoying it. 🙂

  65. I like the humour and irreverance in your writing….I share a similar perspective 🙂 Thanks for the Yum-Yums…cant wait to have more!

  66. Greetings! Thank you so much for taking the time to like something on my blog on today. Will follow your blog. Blessings and Godspeed to you!

  67. Love what you have to say Andra. Your thoughts on the importance of having fun is close to my heart. I believe in the power of laughter and that’s what my blogs, “Laugh with Joe” are all about. If my blog can give the reader a smile, a chuckle or a laugh it’s done its job. I’ve been a song writer but never tried any other kind of writing before. i like to say I’m not a real writer, I just play one on the internet. Keep up the good work. If together, we can bring some levity to those out there who are stuck in a continuing state of low self esteem and anxiety maybe we’ve accomplished some good.
    Joe Favale

    1. Joe, thanks so much for stopping by and introducing yourself. Life is empty without laughter. I agree.

  68. An echo of what Joseph said. Helping just one person to genuinely smile is an accomplishment although making more than one smile would be a sight better. Love what you are doing here, building a community. Blog posting is quite new to me, but I enjoy it, and I enjoy getting smiles from reading others. I look forward to coming here often Andra.

  69. Hi Andra! I came across this post on your blog, and like the many other folks I wanted to say hi, in the spirit of fostering camaraderie in this burgeoning community… 🙂

I’ve dabbled a little in writing but focus mostly on photography now. Love your writing though, I’ll be sure to visit often! My photography blog is http://deurmylens.wordpress.com. My (somewhat neglected) writing blog is at http://mollersdownunder.blogspot.com, to be migrated to wordpress and revived one day… 🙂

  70. That was a bit of a scrolling! 😀
You brought more inspiration to your readers. So, I nominated you for the Very Inspiring Blogger Award. Please get the badge at http://wp.me/s32YrK-sparks and get more info. Please continue the inspirations coming. Have a nice day.

  71. Hi Andra!

My name is Brandy and I live in Canada. I came across your blog today while reading my colleague’s and decided to check it out. My blog is part of my website and can be found at: http://theapplebys.yolasite.com/blog.php.

My passion for writing has recently been renewed and I am seriously considering a carreer change to writer and freelance editor in the near future. Until then, I’m reading and writing more. Which means reading more blogs!

Thank you for giving us the opportunity to say hi. I look forward to reading more of your blog!

    1. Hi Brandy. Thanks for introducing yourself. I look forward to getting to know you.

  72. Just wanted to add my appreciation of your Blog-style. I find too many Blogs are a little preachy, or take themselves a little too seriously, and really, at the end of the day, I just want to hear someone’s random thoughts, possibly weigh in, and enjoy a good read. So thanks.

Here comes my self-pimpage: if you are interested, visit http://erratic72.wordpress.com/

  73. Reblogged this on LuluChris58 BloG and commented:
I had to reblog! Andrea has shown me so much love since day 1! Stop by and check her out!!

  74. I think we share the same home town, Chucktown. I wanted to drop by via SwimmingInMy50s. Love your style of humor.

  75. With a title like “The Accidental Cootchie Mama” how could I not click through? And what do you know, I’m glad I did!

  76. I’ve been following your fab blog for ages, and I’ve only just found this post! I’m Joanna, alias MM : an expatriate English mum of three living in the South of France. I suffer from severe Peter Pan Syndrome, and I’m addicted to salted peanuts. As I talk too much, I write things down and share them in cyber space so that I don’t talk everyone to sleep. My multiple ramblings about life and the MM’s playmobil- filled Universe can be found at http://multifariousmeanderings.wordpress.com/

  77. I just started blogging about exercise and crazy things in my life. I came across your blog and it made me laugh which I really need (like all the time)! I started chronicalling my excercise journey on viewfrommyrun.wordpress.com but I am NOT a crazy psycho runner (Ok I am a wannabe)… Looking forward to hearing more from your blog
