Lizzi Rogers is outstanding. Be it as a writer, a poet (which I put in another category because, dang, I can't do it), a cheerleader for other writers or a friend. I hope you'll follow the link below and check out Lizzi's generous interview with someone you know.

Hint: It’s me, probably sharing a couple of things you don’t know about me.

Hint 2: Like I’ve got a sequel to To Live Forever. And an actual publication date.

Hope to see you at today’s A Slip of the Lit HERE.

I am in writing hell right now. Not very cool. I’m at that place where I have a complete draft and must revise to cement the story. I spend all day, every day revising and muttering, “Thissucksthissucksthissucks.” It’s an absolute part of the process, and I’ll get through it.

I’m ready to throw the new book into the parking lot and plow through it with the car. Ha. But that’s always where I am at this stage.

  1. Good stuff. Hard-hitting, yet gentle and illuminating. Nice aura to it.

  2. Lizzi’s interview/review is, for me, the BEST I have read yet. It reveals as much about her as it does about you — all good!

I, too, will be getting in line for the new book (would you believe that historical fiction never used to be high on my must-read-this radar?), signing up for the e-newsletter, and *sigh* registering to receive Lizzi’s “Considerings” in my email, because I can I not?

Lizzi’s a delightful recent connection. I’m really grateful to have found her.

  3. “how” can I not? I guess I must have read what I MEANT to write. πŸ™

  4. Congrats on the sequel, Andra! When do you actually find time to write???

Thanks. I hermit and write in big chunks. I cleared much of my summer calendar for this project and the next one.

      1. Ah! Damn kids. Damn summer break! (I don’t expect to get anything done over the summer except wonder over and over why we had kids ;-). Kidding! Mostly.)

  5. Loved the interview! Looking for the new book!

  6. Don’t know what happened! It was supposed to say Debbie (not Beaver). Must have put in my password πŸ™‚

I’m glad you got validation about your duct tape rec. πŸ™‚

  8. This is just great, Andra! You just keep on delivering surprises! The momentum just keeps building. πŸ™‚

I’m not sure I’d call it momentum yet. I’m still pushing the snowball uphill. But I’m still pushing, and that’s the important part. πŸ™‚

  9. Awesome interview! And yay! See you on the blog in September with this new book. πŸ™‚
Yes, I owe you an email response. πŸ™‚

I say September 15, but if the publisher doesn’t think it’s ready, they may push it back a bit. I’ve got a complete draft, but it’s in the midst of a massive rewrite.
