If you’re anywhere close to Nashville. If you need an excuse to be. Join me at Parnassus Books on Thursday, April 3, 2014 at 6:30pm. I finish my 444-mile walk of the Natchez Trace that morning.
Who better than an AWESOME bookstore to fete me that evening?
I’ll be doing my very first author presentation. Pictures from my Natchez Trace trek. Live answers to Reader Questions. A fan-directed Author Reading. FREE CHAMPAGNE. FREE CINNAMON SUGAR DOUGHNUTS. (Because, if all else fails to entice the masses, free booze and food might do the trick.)
You’ll have to show up to see whether I stand in an Epsom salt foot bath at the podium.
I’m also excited to introduce the following new bookstores in the To Live Forever family.
Turning Pages Books & More – Natchez, Mississippi
Square Books – Oxford, Mississippi
Reed’s Gum Tree Bookstore – Tupelo, Mississippi
Landmark Booksellers – Franklin, Tennessee
If you’re ever anywhere close to these great bookstores, check them out. I’m honored they’re carrying my novel.

We’ll be there! Making a fan girl poster 🙂
I stopped in Parnassus when I was in Nashville recently and was very proud to tell them that I knew an author who would be coming to their store. They were excited about your presentation. And, no, I did not see Anne Patchett but, it was a lovely independent book store. I have enjoyed following your journey and know you are glad to see the proverbial light at the end of the tunnel. Hope you have good weather for the remainder of the trek!

I wish I lived near Nashville because I would so be there.
Wow! What a fun idea.
Wish I could be there, but I hope to send my sister. I love that bookstore.
Wooo hooo! One day, mile, step at a time and you will have done it! Wishing I could be there to cheer for you when you complete the journey.
I wish I could be there!!!! I hope you’ll be on Good Morning America too!
What a nice finish. Sorry to miss it.
Nearly 2/3’s of the way at that “North Terminus/South Terminus” sign!! I am tired, just sitting here! 🙂 You are awesome!
Would love to sit (stand?) and listen in Nashville. Not to be this time, but solidarity lives.
Deep fried intestines are DELISH! You are missing out.:) So exciting about the bookstores added to the family and your author presentation. And, of course the “churros” you’ll be offering. My daughter turns 18 on April 3 so I will have lots to celebrate that day! 🙂
Dang it! If only Uncle Sam hadn’t taken instead of gave. 🙁 April 3rd is right around the corner…maybe I can swing it.
There with you in spirit!
Ah, wish I could be there!
Hugs from Ecuador,
Kathy
OMG, April 3 is just around the corner! (OK, not literally, but still.) Like so many others, I wish I could be there. And I think standing in a foot bath would be a perfect way to give a reading.
Loved the bit about the foot bath at the podium. I’d be worried about you nodding off! Must drink plenty of coffee that afternoon, darling.
So, you don’t like bratwurst? Nothing in natural casings I imagine?
what a cool ending to such a cool journey )

I’m telling you…check the book out!
Not only don’t you like them, but you don’t have a crew of “helpers” to carry them and cook them up for you. The end of the journey celebrations sounds delightful. I’ll be thinking of you.
Free cinnamon sugar donuts? I may have to book a flight… ;-P

Champagne and Donuts? I won’t be there, but if I were, I’d be the one trying to do lousy magic tricks with both. Given I know not a thing about magic tricks, that would be quite a display. Thus, I get to stay home and read about your stop, NOT get thrown out of a state after being chased down the street by your fans. Ah, life is tough sometimes!
Good luck , my friend.
I couldn’t do bear meat and intestines either… April 3rd is coming fast!
Andra, if I could be there I’d do it without thinking. I could never, ever turn down free booze and donuts.
On a side note, are there any bookstores in North Dakota carrying the book? Barnes and Noble, maybe? Is there any way I could get them to? I probably don’t have to tell you (or maybe I do?) that Lewis and Clark are a BIG HUGE DEAL here, and we have two roads – 1804 and 1806 – to mark their passage through our great state. I don’t think we have any indie retail book shops that aren’t used bookstores, so B&N might be it in my area.
