The Land Between the Rivers

I came to the Land Between the Rivers. Walked in the steps of shades. Waded in mud and ooze and wet. Remembered. Perhaps. I fly to the Land Among Waters. Walk in the footprints of Time. Wade through rain-soaked green. Birth experiences to remember.

Perhaps.

**************

I’ve been in Kansas City, Missouri at the Lewis and Clark Trail Heritage Foundation Convention. I sold quite a few books, but even better, I made many new friends, people who talked history for hours. I even met Jane Hawley. Meriwether Lewis was her uncle (plus several greats.)

I’m headed to England. For the next week or so, I’ll record my memoir with the assistance of Kate Shrewsday. I’m also seeing friends in Peterborough and volunteering in a sailing for the disabled program. Readers will probably see that program again someday.

Postcard freebie was announced in newsletter. Making sure everyone here is getting it. Yours may be in spam.

  2. I am up to family time, Andra. Mom turned 96 today. Friday, brother and girlfriend come to town and we take mom out for her Manhattan and maybe something other than a ham sandwich.

  6. I really enjoyed catching a glimpse of your travels through Periscope! I even caught you a couple of times while I was at work, but sometimes our time zones don’t quite coincide. 🙂 I’m thrilled you’ll be recording with Kate. If you do Periscope our time zones will really be off, but you never know! My life? We are completing our building project and moving into our “cozy cottage” this weekend. It’s been a LOT of work and kept us close to home, but all exciting. This also means I now have space for a visitor…hint! hint! ox

  7. Have a wonderful, wonderful, energy-renewing trip, Andra! I hope my letter arrives before you leave!
I’ve been working on my middle grade novel! A slow crawl. 🙂

  8. Safe travel (well, I think you are actually there by now) and enjoy your time with Kate. 🙂
Busy as a bee here with the little ones here and all the activity that entails and loving it.
